Viral respiratory infections are on their way! Viracid is one way you can help your immune system recover more efficiently.  Viracid is a combination of powerful nutrients and botanical extracts. It contains the active form of black elderberry which helps supercharge immune pathways to eliminate foreign invaders. Astragalus root extract is also in this product. It supports and boosts our immune cell turnover rate for maximum efficiency. Paniculata Leaf Extract and Echinacea have been used for centuries to help decrease sore throats and nasal secretions and work as antioxidants. Viracid can be taken hourly for the first day of viral infection for immediate immune support or daily for immune maintenance.  If you're looking for a children's version try ViraKid which provides the same health benefits in a kid friendly blend.

Are allergies getting the best of you this season? Natural D-Hist® is another fantastic option we carry at Deerwood Family Practice to help combat pesky allergy symptoms. D-Hist® is a targeted blend of flavonoids, antioxidants, proteolytic enzymes, and botanicals designed to support your immune system and combat symptoms caused by common environmental allergens and irritants.
Quercetin has many amazing qualities but one trait that really shines in this product is how it helps to shut down the release of histamine. Histamine is a chemical released by your body that causes itchy watery eyes, sneezing, stuffy nose, post nasal drainage, and other allergy symptoms.
D-Hist® also has Stinging Nettle Leaf (Urtica dioica). This plant has shown to calm and balance an overactive immune response especially in the  airway and nasal passages. It works with Quercetin to control your body’s histamine release, reducing allergy symptoms.
Bromelain is another great component found in D-Hist®. This plant enzyme found in pineapples helps supercharge Quercetin more effectively and supports mucosal health. It helps break down large protein complexes and eases seasonal allergy discomfort.
This combination promotes healthy nasal and sinus passages for those with high histamine levels and respiratory irritation. Additionally, Natural D-Hist® can be taken as needed or daily for year-round allergy relief, alongside other over-the-counter medications.
We also offer a safe and effective option for children!

Looking to boost your health this fall? Deerwood Family Practice highly recommends adding OrthoMune® to your daily routine.
OrthoMune® is a specialized blend of nutrients designed to strengthen your immune system. It includes quercetin, Vitamin C, N-acetyl cysteine, Vitamin D, and zinc. These ingredients work together to promote healthy respiratory and immune function, making it suitable for majority of patients.
Quercetin: A natural compound found in fruits and vegetables like apples, onions, and berries. It’s known for its powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which help protect your cells from damage and reduce inflammation.
Vitamin C: A strong antioxidant that protects immune cells and supports overall immune function. It also enhances quercetin’s effectiveness by recycling it back to its active form so our body’s can continue to use it.
N-acetyl cysteine (NAC): A supplement derived from the amino acid cysteine. It’s known for its antioxidant properties and is often used to support lung health, boost the immune system, and help the body detoxify.
Vitamin D: A nutrient usually obtained from sunlight and certain foods like fatty fish. It helps your body absorb calcium, which is important for strong bones and teeth
Zinc: Essential for a healthy immune system. It helps supercharge specific cells in our immune system to fight stronger. It supports key immune functions and helps maintain respiratory health and function.
